Brands That Manufacture in Bangladesh: A Sourced List

If you have ever turned a garment inside out and read "Made in Bangladesh," you have handled the output of one of the world's biggest clothing industries. Bangladesh is one of the largest apparel exporters on earth, second only to China (WTO), and a long list of familiar brands rely on its factories.

This is a sourced list. For every brand below, the evidence comes from that company's own public factory or supplier disclosure, not from rumor. We only include brands whose Bangladesh production we can point to a source for.

We are a sourcing and export house in Dhaka. We are independent and not affiliated with any brand named here. We put this list together because buyers ask us all the time which well-known labels produce in Bangladesh, and the honest answer is: a great many of them.

How we verified each brand

Over the past decade, most major apparel companies have started publishing their factory lists, many under the industry Transparency Pledge. These lists name the Tier 1 factories that cut and sew their products, along with locations and often worker counts. When a brand's own list includes Bangladesh factories, that is direct, first-party proof that the brand manufactures there.

That is the standard we hold to below. Where a company publishes a factory list showing Bangladesh, we say so and cite it. We do not guess which specific product comes from Bangladesh, because brands rotate production across countries by season and product type. The only certain proof for any single item is the label sewn into it.

The brands, with sources

H&M

H&M Group publishes a public supplier list, updated regularly, and is a signatory of the Transparency Pledge. Its disclosure listed 188 production units in Bangladesh as of the April 2025 supplier list (H&M Group, Supply chain transparency, hmgroup.com, 2025). Bangladesh is one of H&M's largest sourcing hubs.

Primark

Primark publishes a Global Sourcing Map naming its supplier factories. As of October 2024, it listed around 132 factories in Bangladesh, representing a significant share of the products it sells (Primark Global Sourcing Map, primark.com). A factory appears on the map only after it has produced for Primark for a year, so these are established suppliers.

Uniqlo (Fast Retailing)

Fast Retailing, the Japanese owner of Uniqlo and GU, publishes a production partners list covering its garment factories and core fabric mills. Bangladesh is among the countries on that list (Fast Retailing, Production Partners List, fastretailing.com). Uniqlo basics are among the items commonly made there.

Gap Inc

Gap Inc, which owns Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic, publishes a factory list that has for years included dozens of apparel factories in Bangladesh, ranging from mid-size to very large operations (Gap Inc published factory list, gapinc.com). Bangladesh is a core sourcing country for the group.

Levi Strauss & Co

Levi Strauss & Co was one of the earliest brands to release its factory list voluntarily, and it publishes a supplier factory and mill list. Bangladesh is among its manufacturing countries (Levi Strauss & Co, Supplier factory and mill list, levistrauss.com). Bangladesh is a major denim producer, which fits Levi's core product.

Puma

Puma publishes a global factory list, updated periodically, that names its manufacturing partners by country. Bangladesh appears on Puma's list among its sourcing locations (PUMA Global Factory List, about.puma.com, 2026).

The North Face (VF Corporation)

VF Corporation, owner of The North Face, Vans, Timberland, and Icebreaker, publishes a quarterly factory list it says covers 100 percent of its Tier 1 facilities. Bangladesh is one of VF's significant sourcing countries (VF Corporation Factory List, vfc.com). We cover this in detail in our guide on whether The North Face is made in Bangladesh.

Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger (PVH Corp)

PVH Corp, which owns Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, publishes a supplier disclosure list of its Tier 1 factories and strategic mills. Bangladesh is one of PVH's top Asian sourcing countries (PVH Corp Supplier Disclosure, pvh.com). See our separate guide on whether Calvin Klein is made in Bangladesh.

Columbia Sportswear

Columbia Sportswear publishes a manufacturing disclosure listing its supplier factories, and Bangladesh is among the countries where it produces (Columbia Sportswear factory list, columbia.com). Bangladesh's outerwear capacity supports this kind of technical apparel.

Why so many brands make clothing in Bangladesh

The list is long for concrete reasons, not coincidence. Bangladesh built the world's second-largest apparel export industry (WTO) on deep capacity in knit cotton, woven shirts, denim, and increasingly technical outerwear. Its factories range from mid-size units to some of the largest garment complexes anywhere, so brands can place high-volume orders and expect consistency.

Since the 2013 Rana Plaza disaster, the industry has also absorbed a major safety overhaul through the Accord and its successor bodies, and many brands now source from certified, audited factories. That combination, real capacity plus improved compliance, is why so many familiar names appear across these disclosure lists. If you want to understand the quality question specifically, our honest guide on whether Made in Bangladesh is good quality walks through it.

Frequently asked questions

Which clothing brands are made in Bangladesh?

Well-known brands with published factory lists showing Bangladesh production include H&M, Primark, Uniqlo, Gap, Levi's, Puma, The North Face, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, and Columbia. Each publishes a supplier or factory disclosure that lists Bangladesh.

How do you know these brands make products in Bangladesh?

Each brand or its parent company publishes a public factory or supplier list, many under the Transparency Pledge, and Bangladesh factories appear on those lists. That is first-party evidence from the company itself.

Does Made in Bangladesh clothing mean lower quality?

No. The label states the country of assembly, not the quality grade. Factories build to each brand's own specification and approved fabric, and output is inspected to the brand's standard regardless of country.

Can I tell which specific product is made in Bangladesh?

Brands rotate production across countries, so the only certain proof for any single item is the care label sewn into that item. The factory lists confirm the brand sources in Bangladesh, not which style comes from where.

Why do so many brands manufacture in Bangladesh?

Bangladesh is the world's second-largest apparel exporter after China (WTO), with deep capacity in knits, wovens, denim, and outerwear, plus improved factory safety and compliance since 2013. That mix draws high-volume orders from global brands.

How we can help

You have just seen the household names that quietly run production through Bangladesh. The natural next question from buyers is whether a smaller or newer label can tap the same factories, and the answer is yes. We are an independent sourcing and export house in Dhaka, not connected to any brand listed here, but we work with the same class of vetted, compliant Bangladeshi factories. We handle factory selection, sampling, quality control, export documents, and freight, so you deal with one partner instead of a dozen. Read our step-by-step guide on how to source clothing from Bangladesh, or tell us what you need and we will map out a realistic plan for your product and volume.
